Growth Group Questions

Reading: 2 corinthians 1 v 8-11, 2 corinthians 4v7-10, 2 Corinthians 8 v 1-7

1 - Today we read that the Apostle Paul lived in an environment of pressure and struggle. How does knowing this from God's word help us in the days we live in of financial pressures that are looming?

2 - When we are going through such times our values are tested, what areas do you feel get tested in in times like this?

3 - How do you feel about the fact God allows times of testing so we rely on him and not our own abilities? Have you been through such times? Did you learn anything big?

4 - What do you think about the Macedonian Church who in severe trail and overwhelming poverty overflowed in rich generosity. What can we learn from these people?

5 - We need to watch out for our perspective, our priorities, and our perception of who is Lord in these times. How can each of these foundations become affected or infected during such a season?

6 - Pray together for those who are facing an uncertain future at this time. Pray for confidence in God's faithfulness. Pray for each other that times of struggle and pressure will serve to focus us on God and not ourselves.

This week read Phillipians and look for Paul's confidence and joy in seeing God at work even in prison.
