Impressions of a visitor to King's Family Church

Peter Lublink, is a youth leader with the Salvation Army visited King's Family Church on June 18, and wrote this report in his blog. He says,

"This morning we visited “King’s Family Church”, a 3 year old church plant meeting in the community center near our home. We had a wonderful morning. The people were extremely friendly and eager to meet us as soon as we walked in the door. The service itself was similar to other services we have been a part of except for a few things. <!--break-->

Firstly there was more prayer this morning than any church service I have attended in the last 10 years. And not just prayer from a pulpit but from people all over the congregation.

Half way through the service after all the praise and worship was a 15 minute break giving people a chance to enjoy some coffee as well as a chance to meet new people. Although unexpected, this was a really nice treat. Not only did it allow you to stretch your legs before the sermon, but it allowed you to have a chance to actually talk to people. Which is not always possible with tea and coffee after the service.

The speaker was excellent and spoke on leadership. Christ-like leadership. Leadership that is not done for personal greatness, but done in a sacrificial servant-like attitude. I not only enjoyed hearing him speak, but I really felt challenged by what he had to say.

All in all an excellent, friendly and uplifting morning."
