Growth Groups

There are 2 growth groups in Mississauga, 3 in Oakville (including a 20's growth group that meets on Thursday), and 2 in Toronto (see www.nlife.ca for Toronto Growth Group info). Please contact the church office for times and places.

Growth Group Questions

Reading: Mark 14: 1-10

1. The woman came to worship and was accused and rebuked harshly by those who were present with Jesus. How do you deal with the accusation of the enemy when you come to worship? How do you push through and draw close to God?

2. This woman broke the jar and poured out her worship, what do you feel needs to be broken in us to bring lavish worship? (e.g fear, being reserved)

3. In a similar story in Luke 7:36-50 Jesus says, "her sins have been forgiven because she loved much, but he who has been forgiven little loves little". How much is our passion to worship God a reflection of how much he has loved us and forgiven us?

4. Jesus commended this woman to be remembered for all time anywhere the gospel is preached. What do you think impressed Jesus about her to elevate her to such a place of commendation?

5. Pray for one another to be those who come as she did to worship the Saviour with something to offer. Use the scripture from 1 Corinthians 14: 26 "What then shall we say brothers? When you come together everyone has a hymn, a word of instruction, a revelation, a tounge or interpretation. All of these MUST be done for the strengthening of the church." Pray for boldness to break through and bring your worship.
