Message: "Ah, I'm in heaven." TODAY … RIGHT NOW … WOW!

Overview:
"Ah, I'm in heaven".  Ever find yourself saying that?  You eat a scrumptious meal, you top it off with a delicious dessert, and you say, ‘I'm in heaven’.  Or your team is playing for a championship, its close right to the end, and then you win on a last-second score (Like the N.Y. Giants).  You exchange high fives and exclaim, ‘I'm in heaven’.   When you talk like that, you know you're using a figure of speech.  You know that no matter how much you enjoy yourself, it doesn't mean you're really in heaven.

But did you know that there's another sense in which it's possible to say, ‘I'm in heaven’ and be telling the truth? The Bible says in Ephesians 2:6, "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus".  If we belong to Christ, we are seated in heaven.  TODAY … RIGHT NOW … WOW!

Questions:

1.      When is the last time you or someone said, “This is Heavenly” or “I’m in Heaven”?   When do we tend to hear this figure of speech in our culture?

2.       What does it mean to you to know you are already seated with Christ in Heaven?

3.       In what current situation do you need this new ‘heavenly perspective’?

4.       Pray for one another about these situations.
